MRX 2004 Dodge Neon SRT-4

Project Specifications:

Vehicle has only 24,000 miles, so we are going to keep the current drive train complete and preserve it for storage or later use. The goal is to build the engine to handle 600 - 700 HP so the vehicle may be able to run at least 10’s and possibly 9’s at the track and run competitively in road course and rally events. The engine will be able to run on pump gas at 30psi of boost. This vehicle will also be driven often during fair weather months. We had a difficult job in front of us due to it being a general purpose race car/daily driver and must maintain excellent drivability and be reliable. We modified and upgraded many of the vehicles systems for high performance use and extreme durability.

· 2.4 SRT-4 block bored .020 over with MRX custom pistons

· MRX Blueprinted and balanced engine assembly

· MRX stage 2 ported head with +2mm exhaust valves and our competition valve job

· ARP head and main studs

· Custom built Turbonetics ball bearing turbo

· Spearco big front mount intercooler

· Autometer boost, EGT, wideband air/fuel, fuel pressure, oil pressure, DPIC gauges

· MRX custom triple gauge pod on dash

· Brian Crower stage 3 cams, springs and titanium retainers
